GAZA (PIC)– The Palestinian journalist’s bloc on Sunday denounced the world’s silence over the unending Israeli attacks on journalists in the Palestinian lands the latest being the shooting of photographer Fadi Al-Aruri in his abdomen while covering the IOF incursion into Ramallah.
The bloc also denounced human rights organizations and international bodies concerned with freedom of journalists for remaining silent towards the series of IOF assaults on Palestinian reporters and media institutions.
It charged that the IOF soldiers’ deliberate targeting of journalists was meant to cover up for those soldiers’ incessant crimes against the Palestinian people land and property.
The statement pointed out that the shooting of Aruri working with the Maan news agency constituted a fresh violation of the simplest international norms and doctrines. It recalled that a number of innocent civilians were killed and others were wounded in the same incursion.
