The Palestinian ministry of education on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for the first child-friendly school in the Gaza Strip in place of the previous one that had been destroyed by Israel in its 2014 war on the Strip.
The construction of the school which is named Jamal Abdel Nasser is supervised by the education ministry with support from the Qatari al-Fakhoora Program Qatar Fund UNDP and the UNICEF.
The school will be established in accordance with high-end and state-of-the-art specifications and will contain among others green spaces lounges and spacious classrooms and labs.
