The Hamas Movement has launched on Thursday celebrations for the 29th anniversary of its founding starting at its founder Sheikh Ahmed Yassin’s house south of Gaza City.
Speaking at a rally to mark the occasion spokesman for the group Fawzi Barhoum said that the anniversary of Hamas’s establishment is a major milestone in the Palestinian people’s national struggle.
A number of leaders in the group and other Palestinian factions attended the event.
The 29th anniversary came while Israeli attacks against the Palestinian people land and holy sites have notably escalated the Movement said.
The Movement renewed its commitment to the Palestinian national issues mainly prisoners’ freedom Jerusalem liberation and the right of return.
It also renewed its adherence to the resistance option saying that it will never give up any Palestinian national right.
The Islamic movement hailed its founder Sheikh Ahmed Yassin and all leaders and martyrs of the Movement and the steadfast Palestinian people.
