Head of Hamas’s political bureau Khaled Mishaal has called for more Arab efforts to support the Palestinian cause in international events and meetings stressing the need for not leaving the door open for the Israeli occupation state.
Mishaal made his remarks during a ceremony held on Wednesday by the college of law at Qatar University in Doha to mark the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
The Hamas political leader hailed the college for organizing a day of solidarity with Palestine saying that its symbolic event was not only a reminder of the Palestinian cause but also an embodiment of strong determination to make the cause alive in the heart of the nation and whip up the masses to support the Palestinian people’s steadfastness.
He recalled the ongoing Qatari support for the Palestinian people in Gaza expressing his gratitude to the Qatari people and their leadership for their efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinians.
He expressed his belief that the Palestinian cause would remain central to the Arab world despite all the conflicts and crises that came to surface recently in the region.
