Hamas Movement renewed Wednesday evening its total rejection of any amendments to the local election law stressing the need for respecting it.
Spokesman for the Movement Sami Abu Zahri called on Ramallah government to stop manipulating the election law according to Fatah’s ambitions.
Such manipulation attempts would lose the credibility of the democratic process as a whole he said.
On Oct. 5 the Palestinian supreme elections committee decided to cancel the municipal elections scheduled to be held on October 8th and suspended all preparations for the elections.
The decision came after the Palestinian council of ministers’ decision to postpone the elections for four months.
