Injuries suffocation cases reported in east Gaza protests

Wednesday 20-December-2017

A Palestinian was wounded by a live bullet on Wednesday while 20 others chocked on tear gas during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) near Gaza’s eastern border over the US recent Jerusalem move.

Spokesman for Gaza’s Ministry of Health Ashraf al-Qedra said that a Palestinian citizen was moderately injured after being shot with a live bullet in the foot east of al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Qedra added that 20 other protesters suffered breathing difficulties as a result of inhaling tear gas.

Border areas east of the Gaza Strip witness confrontations with the IOF on a daily basis in protest at the US recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel on 6th December.
