Injuries arrests as Israeli forces quell anti-Trump protests

Wednesday 13-December-2017

A number of Palestinian demonstrators and worshipers were left injured on Wednesday evening as the Israeli occupation forces came down heavily on protesters in Bab al-Amoud in Occupied Jerusalem.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said at least four protesters were left injured as they took to the streets to speak up against Trump’s recent recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. A protester was rushed to hospital for urgent treatment.

The occupation forces aggressively beat Palestinian worshipers maintaining peaceful vigil near al-Amoud Gate as they were gearing up to perform Maghreb (evening) prayers.

The Israeli army and police quelled other rallies staged across Occupied Jerusalem to protest Trump’s move.

A few hours earlier two Palestinian young men were kidnapped by the Israeli forces from Bab al-Amoud.

At the same time the Israeli army tightened grip on Bab al-Amoud and intensified military presence across the area in an attempt to prevent projected anti-occupation protests.
