Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said on Sunday that the peace process has fallen apart stressing Palestinians’ firm refusal to return to the U.S.-brokered negotiations table.
“There is a national consent among the Palestinians that negotiations must be halted once and for all” a tweet by Abu Zuhri read.
Abu Zuhri urged the Palestinian Authority leadership to deactivate the Oslo Accords and backtrack on the recognition of Israel.
Abu Zuhri’s statement comes just a few hours after an Arab foreign ministers gathering called for a political solution to the conflict and for the revival of two-state negotiations.
Palestinian factions except for Fatah agreed on the need to cancel the Oslo Accords and end the peace process without further delay.
