Palestinian factions on Sunday called on the Palestinian Authority (PA) government in Ramallah to lift the penal measures imposed on the Gaza Strip and establish a national committee to back up the reconciliation efforts.
During a march that was held on Sunday to support reconciliation between Hamas and Fatah Movements Saleh Naser a leader of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine stressed the importance to activate the managerial and legal committee in accordance with the Hamas-Fatah agreement in October 2017.
Naser also highlighted the need to abide by the agreements signed in 2011 and 2017 as well as the Cairo Agreement on November 21. He called on the PA government to bear all of its responsibilities and fulfill its duties in the ministries and other institutions in the Gaza Strip.
