A number of Palestinians were left injured at noontime Thursday after dozens of Israeli settlers stormed Asira al-Qibliya south of Nablus province.
Speaking with the Palestinian Information Center the head of Asira al-Qibliya’s Village Council Hafedh Saleh said dozens of Israeli extremists residing in the illegal Yitzhar settlement stoned Palestinian homes on the outskirts of Asira al-Qibliya.
Israeli soldiers escorted the settlers all the way through the assault.
Clashes burst out between the settlers and the Palestinian locals.
At the same time Israeli army patrols showered Palestinian homes with heavy spates of teargas canisters.
Several Palestinian protesters and civilians choked on teargas while dozens more were injured as a result of stone-throwing by the Israeli settlers.
