Clashes with Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) broke out Thursday night in Tora town south of Jenin city in the northern West Bank. Meanwhile IOF soldiers stormed Yabad town near the city and set up military checkpoints.
Local sources told the PIC reporter that the clashes erupted after IOF troops stormed the town erected barriers and assaulted the inhabitants.
IOF soldiers showered the young protesters in the town with gunfire and tear gas grenades. They chased the young men and detained five minors at the pretext of throwing stones at the soldiers. After a while they were released upon intervention of their families.
Israeli soldiers also raided at dawn hours the nearby town of Yabad. They set up a military checkpoint at the entrance to the town where they stopped the passing by cars and checked the IDs of passengers.
