Reconciliation talks between Fatah and Hamas in Cairo are serious and deep Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said on Wednesday.
Abu Zuhri said reports except for those issued by the Egyptian officials on the details of the Cairo-brokered meetings are counterfeit.
“The underway talks are positive and the Egyptian side is even-handed” he added.
On Tuesday evening Fatah and Hamas wrapped up a 10-hour talk-round. The results have been kept under wraps.
Both parties discussed key issues related to national reconciliation a few weeks after Hamas has made the first steps in an attempt to heal national division.
A second talk-round is expected to kick-start at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Egyptian Intelligence headquarters.
