Hamas delegation ends visit to Malaysia

A delegation from the Hamas Movement led by its foreign relations director Osama Hamdan concluded a visit for several days to Malaysia where it held meetings with officials from the government and the ruling party.

During their visit the delegation which included representatives from the Palestinian Cultural Organization in Malaysia met with deputy premier Ahmad Zahid Hamidi in his office in the administrative capital Putrajaya.

The two sides discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian arena and Israel’s systematic aggressive practices against the Aqsa Mosque the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

Hamidi expressed his condemnation of Israel’s recent measures at the Aqsa Mosque and reiterated his country’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people’s struggle to extract their just rights.

The delegation also had the chance to meet with secretary-general of the Malaysian ruling party UMNO Tengku Adnan bin Tengku Mansor and briefed him on the recent events in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Adnan stressed the importance of cooperation between the Muslim peoples to protect their interests and solve their differences.

The delegation also met with other officials from UMNO and noted national figures in the country and participated in the International Meeting for Ummah Solidarity that was held last Saturday in Kota Bharu city.
