Political bureau chairman of Hamas Ismail Haneyya on Thursday evening stressed Hamas’s commitment to support underway endeavors to heal national and regional rifts.
Speaking to the Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir by phone Haneyya vowed that Hamas will continue its efforts to boost unity and stability in The Sudan and the region.
“Disagreements do not serve the nation. Israel spares no effort to harm our nation and cause” said Haneyya. “A real renaissance can only see the day if we live up to our obligations regarding our central cause—Palestine and al-Aqsa Mosque.”
The Sudanese president hailed Hamas’s efforts to boost unity and cohesion in the region wishing Haneyya success in his position as the Movement’s newly-elected chief.
