The Hamas Movement has denounced UAE foreign minister Anwar Gargash for his hostile remarks against the Palestinian people’s legitimate resistance and described his remarks in this regard as “unacceptable.”
Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri stated on Wednesday that Gargash’s remarks would not succeed in twisting the facts on the ground and confusing the political scene.
Abu Zuhri said that the root of terrorism in the world is Israel and its occupation of Palestine and not the legitimate Palestinian resistance.
In press remarks on Wednesday to Associated Press Gargash said Qatar should expel members of Hamas stop its support of terror groups around the world and rein in the media outlets it funds mainly the Doha-based satellite news network al-Jazeera.
