IOF kidnaps citizens in W. Bank raids hospital in Ramallah

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Thursday kidnapped several citizens from different West Bank areas and stormed the Ramallah Medical Complex (hospital) in Ramallah city.

The Palestinian health ministry said that Israeli soldiers violently broke into the complex and embarked on firing live ammunition and tear gas grenades intensively for about an hour.

Consequently several citizens patients and children suffered from inhaling tear gas during the IOF raid.

Such an Israeli military raid on the complex violates the international law that demands countries and entities to provide protection for medical facilities.

In another context many Palestinian citizens were kidnapped from their homes at dawn IOF campaigns in different West Bank areas.

According to local sources a Palestinian young man was kidnaped from his home in Huwara town south of Nablus province.

The sources explained that Israeli soldiers aboard military patrol vehicles stormed the town and kidnapped a young man called Mohamed Namer from his home.

Meanwhile the IOF at Za’atara checkpoint restricted the movement of Palestinian cars leaving Nablus in the morning and embarked on searching them and checking the IDs of passengers.

A university student called Mohamed Asida was also taken prisoner during a raid on his home in Tell town south of Nablus.

Several others were kidnapped from their homes during IOF raids in neighborhoods and towns of al-Khalil and Bethlehem.

Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that a large number of Israeli soldiers stormed Beit Ummar town north of al-Khalil and kidnapped Mohamed Abu Mariya and Hussein al-Allami.

In Bethlehem Israeli soldiers stormed at dawn al-Deheisheh refugee camp ransacked homes and kidnapped a citizen called Nasim Zakkout.

Two others were also rounded up by the IOF in Bethlehem city and Taqu’a town which is located south of the city.
