Thousands of Palestinians marched Saturday afternoon in the funeral of the Palestinian martyr Ahmed Ghazal 17 who was shot and killed by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) three weeks ago.
Earlier Friday Israeli occupation authorities handed over Ghazal’s body at Jit checkpoint three weeks after his martyrdom.
The funeral set off from Rafidia hospital towards the local cemetery with mourners chanting slogans hailing Palestinian martyrs’ sacrifices. Palestinian flags were also waved during the funeral.
The IOF soldiers executed Ghazal after he allegedly carried out an anti-occupation attack on al-Wad Street in the Old City of Occupied Jerusalem on 1st April 2017.
Israeli has been under harsh international condemnation for deliberately killing dozens of Palestinian youths since the outbreak of Jerusalem Intifada in October 2015 while they posed no imminent threat to life in what appear to have been extrajudicial executions.
