Lebanon’s CPS urges Muslim nation to support Palestinian prisoners

Saturday 22-April-2017

The Council of Palestinian Scholars (CPS) in Lebanon has appealed to the Muslim nation to support the hunger-striking prisoners in Israeli jails in the face of the injustice being inflicted upon them.

In a press release spokesman for the council Sheikh Mohamed al-Maw’ed condemned the Israeli punitive measures taken against the hunger strikers especially their detention in isolation cells.

Maw’ed also slammed the Muslim nation for staying silent on the injustice the Palestinian people suffer from as a result of the occupation and the detention of thousands of them in Israeli jails.

He applauded the Palestinian people in the occupied territories for resisting the occupation with all possible means to defend their land and the holy sites describing them as “brave resistance fighters.”
