The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas confirmed on Wednesday that Palestinian women have a significant role in preserving the Palestinian national constants and they are considered the main supporter of the Palestinian resistance.
Rajaa al-Halabi the head of the Hamas Women’s Action Front said that Palestinian women have proven their ability to give shoulder responsibility and stand steadfast in all struggles.
Halabi was speaking at a conference entitled “The struggle of Palestinian women in preserving national constants” which was organized by Hamas Movement in Gaza City.
The conference which was launched on Wednesday morning included three sessions talking about prisoners the struggle of Jerusalemite women the refugees and the creativity of Palestinian women.
The conference was attended by Palestinian leaders of various factions female ex-prisoners and a group of Palestinian women.
For his part the member of the Hamas political bureau Mahmoud al-Zahhar praised the role of Palestinian women in the major Palestinian issues and pointed to their efforts in maintaining the national constants.
