Dozens of Palestinians and representatives of institutions and national figures along with families of prisoners took part on Tuesday in a sit-in organized in solidarity with Palestinian detainees in Israeli jails. They condemned Israeli violations against captives and called for holding more solidarity events.
The participants at the sit-in which was called for by the national committee for the support of prisoners carried photos of hunger striking and administrative detainees. They chanted slogans calling for national unity and backing up prisoners.
The representative of the national committee Emad Eshtaiwi urged for more popular and official interaction with the issue of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails through organizing a series of supportive events. He condemned the passive stance of the international community towards Israeli crimes and offensive practices against Palestinian captives.
