Al-Qarain Jerusalemite family was forced on Saturday morning to raze their own home in Silwan town east of Occupied Jerusalem after receiving a demolition order from Israeli municipality.
The demolition order stipulates two choices either to knock it down on the family’s expense or to pay for the cost of demolition by the municipality crews in addition to a very expensive fine.
Family members told Quds Press that Israeli authorities had been pressuring the family to pay the cost of the home demolition after claiming that the house was built without permit.
A woman of the Qarain family was living in the 60 square meters house the family members said adding that she died recently.
