Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine rejected the political arrests of its cadres by the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank and organized on Tuesday a rally in Gaza in protest against such practices.
Khader Habib Islamic Jihad official said that the political arrests of his Movement’s cadres in the West Bank is happening at a time the Israeli officials are declaring that they would not recognize a Palestinian state and would not abide by any agreement signed with the Palestinians.
Habib asserted that Islamic Jihad members are not a part of the abhorred political division and their only enemy is the Israeli occupation.
“Do not reward the enemy Israel by arresting Palestinian activists” Habib said while expressing his disapproval regarding the escalation in such arrests in the West Bank.
