Head of Hamas Political Bureau Khaled Mishaal and member of Fatah Central Committee Azzam al-Ahmad discussed in Doha on Thursday efforts exerted for ending the internal Palestinian political division and achieving reconciliation as well as partnership among Palestinian national factions.
Both parties also brought up for discussion the issue of taking part in the preparatory meeting for the Palestinian National Council (PNC) due to take place in Beirut on Tuesday January 10.
The Hamas-Fatah meeting also emphasized on accelerating the reconciliation process and forming a national unity government in addition to conducting the general elections in light of the recent Palestinian developments.
They renewed calls for ending the Israeli occupation and establishing the State of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital.
For his part Khaled Mishaal congratulated Fatah Movement over the success of its seventh congress.
