High court approves demolition of anti-occupation activist’s home

The Israeli High Court on Thursday approved the demolition of the home of the Palestinian youngster Ashraf Naalwa who is suspected of carrying out the attack at the Barkan industrial area in early October.

According to the Israeli paper Yediot Ahranot the court rejected a petition by Naalwa’s family appealing the decision.

Israeli forces will be able to demolish the house of Ashraf Naalwa on December 16 when the temporary injunction issued by the court expires the paper reads.

On October 7 Ashraf Naalwa allegedly carried out a shooting attack in Barkan industrial area leaving two Israeli settlers dead.

Since then Israeli forces have been conducting wide-scale searches for Naalwa who fled the scene following the shooting attack. Israel has also arrested a number of his family members as part of its collective punishment policy.
