Wheelchaired Palestinian prisoner Adnan Hamarsha aged 50 was released from Israeli occupation jails on Thursday evening after he had been incarcerated for six months with neither charge nor trial.
Hamarsha was unshackled following a six-month administrative prison term issued by the Israeli occupation.
His two sons Anas 17 and Omar 26 are still held in Israeli jails.
Newly-released Hamarsha is diagnosed with Perthes disease a rare condition that affects the hip. It occurs when the blood supply to the rounded head of the femur (thighbone) is temporarily disrupted. Without an adequate blood supply the bone cells die a process called avascular necrosis.
Hamarsha had spent over 16 years in Israeli jails mostly in administrative detention an Israeli policy that allows the imprisonment of Palestinians without charge or trial.
