The Palestinian Center for Mine Action (MACC) along with the International Center for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) started on Thursday clearing a minefield in Yabad town to the south of Jenin northern West Bank.
Head of MACC Ossema Abu Hanena stressed the importance of clearing the 49-dunum minefield as it constitutes “a real danger to local residents.”
He pointed out that nearly 76 sites have been cleared so far in al-Khalil Bethlehem Qalqilia and Jericho.
