Thursday 25-October-2018

At least eight Palestinian young men were left wounded at nightfall on Wednesday after the Israeli military attacked a group of civilians gathering east of Rafah city south of the blockaded Gaza Strip.

The Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qidrah said eight Palestinians sustained injuries after they were hit with Israeli gunfire.

Reporting from the scene a PIC news correspondent said paramedics transferred the injured youths to Abu Youssef al-Najar Hospital in Rafah.

Dozens of unarmed Palestinian rallied around the Awda (return) camps near Gaza’s eastern borders as part of the night protests staged by Gazans to speak up for the refugees’ right of return to their homeland from which they were expelled by the Israeli occupation more than 60 years ago.

At least 218 Palestinians were killed and over 22000 others injured in attacks by the Israeli military on the Great March of Return protests staged on the Gaza border since March 30.
