Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Tuesday abruptly installed a checkpoint in the southern area of al-Khalil city and started to search Palestinian vehicles and passengers.
The PIC reporter said that about ten IOF soldiers stormed Um al-Dalia area south of al-Khalil and erected a checkpoint on the main road connecting the southern area of the city with the northern one.
The soldiers started to search the Palestinian vehicles passing through the checkpoint causing a traffic jam. No arrests were reported.
IOF soldiers deliberately set up temporary checkpoints on a regular basis in the Old City of al-Khalil to disturb the life of Palestinian citizens and pressure them to leave their homes and lands adjacent to Israeli settlements.
