Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Monday arrested a Palestinian young man at a checkpoint north of Bethlehem city in the southern West Bank.
The PIC reporter said that the IOF closed the checkpoint for hours causing a traffic jam and searched the Palestinian vehicles passing in the area.
The IOF soldiers forced the Palestinian citizen Ibrahim al-Khalayla 28 a resident of al-Khalil out of a car he was travelling in heading to his work in Ramallah and searched him before he was taken to an unknown destination.
There are dozens of military checkpoints scattered across the West Bank and Jerusalem. Arbitrary arrests are witnessed at these checkpoints on almost a daily basis.
