Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Friday evening set up a temporary checkpoint at the entrance to Deir Ballut town west of Salfit city.
Eyewitnesses reported that the IOF soldiers harassed the Palestinian citizens passing through the checkpoint searched their vehicles and scrutinized their IDs.
The checkpoint caused severe traffic jam in the area which forced some drivers to withdraw and look for alternative roads.
The IOF soldiers from time to time install temporary checkpoints at the entrances to the West Bank villages and towns under flimsy security pretexts.
