Demonstration in Chicago against Israeli bloodshed at Gaza border

Wednesday 16-May-2018

Hundreds of protesters carrying Palestinian flags and wearing keffiyehs took to the streets of Chicago on Tuesday evening one day after Israeli soldiers shot and killed at least 60 Palestinians during mass protests along the Gaza border as the U.S. embassy in Israel moved from Tel Aviv to Occupied Jerusalem.

The demonstrators marched to the Israeli Consulate as they called for the world to take urgent action to stop Israel’s terrorism against the Palestinian people and unarmed protesters.

The 70th anniversary of the Nakba or “catastrophe” marked Monday has been dubbed as the deadliest day on the Gaza border since the 2014 Israeli offensive on the besieged enclave.

By late afternoon five minors were included in the 60 Palestinians who were murdered by the Israeli military in the mass protests and more than 1400 were wounded by gunfire.
