Palestinian lawmaker Khaled Tafesh has highlighted the importance of the weekly March of Return protests taking place in Gaza saying they contributed to restoring the prestige of the Palestinian cause.
In press remarks Tafesh said that the size of the Arab and international pressures and temptations on the Palestinians to stop the March of Return protests reflected the importance of such popular rallies which “made the Palestinian cause again on top of the world’s priorities.”
The lawmaker added that the March of Return protests exposed the ugly face of the Israeli occupation and showed how it deals with unarmed civilians.
He also said that the protests give a clear impression that the Palestinian people can never relinquish the right of return in light of the ongoing conspiracies targeting their national cause.
