A Palestinian man was killed and some 52 others were injured by Israeli gunfire and tear gas grenades including 12 by live bullets with 2 in critical conditions during clashes that erupted on Tuesday evening between Palestinians and Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) who besieged a residential building in Nablus city in the northern West Bank.
IOF soldiers in large numbers raided the city stormed Baiker Street and surrounded al-Masri apartments. Nine Palestinians four of them of al-Tubasi family were arrested.
Local sources pointed out that the building was besieged because some relatives of Abdul Karim Asi who was announced as the person who carried out the anti-occupation stabbing attack near Ariel settlement near Salfit city on Monday and led to the death of a Jewish rabbi are residing in the building.
Israeli forces tightened its security measures in Nablus city and the nearby towns of Tel and Asira al-Shamaliyah the sources added.
