Israeli warplanes at dawn Saturday launched multiple airstrikes on a Palestinian resistance site in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip but no casualties were reported.
Local sources said that the resistance post located to the west of Rafah city was targeted with two missiles fired by a drone and a fighter jet.
A spokesman for the Israeli occupation army claimed that the warplanes hit a Hamas compound consisting of two military buildings in the southern Gaza Strip holding the Movement responsible for the escalation in the besieged enclave.
Israeli media reported that the airstrikes came in response to a rocket attack from Gaza at the Negev.
