A high-level delegation from Hamas led by deputy head of its political bureau Mousa Abu Marzouk met on Friday with Malaysian premier Mahathir Mohamed in Kuala Lumpur.
During the meeting Abu Marzouk applauded the Malaysian leadership for its efforts to support the Palestinian people and voiced hope to see the Kuala Lumpur summit culminate with practical steps supporting the Palestinian people’s steadfastness against the Israeli occupation.
The Hamas official also lauded Mahathir’s opening speech at the summit in which he called for ending the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
He briefed the premier on the latest developments in the Palestinian arena and the dangers threatening the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights.
