The Hamas leadership has announced its unconditional and full acceptance of the initiative proposed recently by major Palestinian factions to heal the rift and achieve the national unity.
In a statement the Hamas Movement said that it had received on September 19 2019 a national vision for ending the inter-Palestinian division during a meeting in the Gaza Strip with leaders of major factions.
Hamas affirmed that its leadership at home and abroad studied the initiative out of its national responsibility and great keenness on achieving the national unity and decided to accept it unconditionally and fully.
“In recognition of the factions’ sincere and honest efforts and out of our awareness of the dangers and challenges surrounding the [Palestinian] cause and threatening its constants the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas declares its approval of the factions’ initiative while rising above its observations on the initiative in order to make it succeed” the Movement stated.
Hamas also pledged to make every effort and remove all obstacles for the success of the initiative.
