In the context of the political arrest campaigns taking place in the West Bank the Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces have arrested five Palestinian citizens with no guilt and persisted in detaining others illegally.
The PA intelligence agency in Tulkarem and Nablus kidnapped two ex-detainees called Osaid Dagher and Qutaiba Azem.
Local sources in Nablus said that forces from the PA intelligence stormed the house of Azem and threatened his family members to confiscate all their cameras and cellphones if pictures of them were taken and published on social media.
For its part the PA preventive security apparatus in Nablus kidnapped a young man identified as Abdul-Karim Mona the brother of journalist Mohamed Mona who is being detained in an Israeli jail.
In Tubas a former political prisoner called Aws Abu Shamla was reportedly kidnapped by the PA preventive security forces from his home three days ago.
The PA preventive security also detained a citizen called Mohamed Thabet from Shuqba town after summoning him for interrogation at its headquarters in Ramallah.
Meanwhile the PA intelligence agency in Nablus summoned Musaab Dawabsheh for interrogation next Saturday.
For her part the mother of political prisoner Murad Fattash started an open-ended hunger strike in protest at detaining her son illegally for about one week in a PA jail.
