The latest Zionist aggression on the holy mosque of Al-Aqsa and the unprovoked assault on hundreds of Muslim worshippers in and around the Mosque yet again demonstrated to the world the contemptible act of the Zionist regime on the Palestinian people a media statement by 45 Malaysian institutions said.
Representatives of the institutions held a press conference at the invitation of Al-Quds Foundation Malaysia (QFM) a couple of days ago and issued the following statement:
Ramadan the holiest month of the Islamic calendar carries no iota of respect from the Zionist perpetrators repeating the latter’s shameless affront on the Mosque in the previous countless Ramadans.
Since the first days of Ramadan the Zionist forces stormed al-Aqsa Mosque and vacated it many times. The most brutal was on the night of 4 April assaulting worshippers and beating up men and women alike where scores were seriously injured. Hundreds required medical attention in addition to arresting hundreds of men. These assaults were repeated on the night of 5 April.
The perpetrators gave their twisted version of the event claiming worshippers were barricading themselves in the Mosque when in fact Israeli offensive forces were assaulting peaceful worshippers with stun grenades rubber bullets and tear gas. They wanted to vacate the Mosque to make way for a so-called Jewish religious observation of the Passover where the animal sacrifice ritual occurs.
The fact remains that the entire site of the Al-Aqsa Mosque belongs exclusively to Muslims. Performing any rituals of other religions is blasphemy of the third holiest Mosque in Islam. The declaration of dividing the Al-Aqsa Mosque into a Muslim and Jewish prayer space in Israel is by any means null and void.
The whole civilized world must not just be a bystander. The rash behavior of the apartheid regime must be condemned with no uncertain terms. The international community must exert all means to exert the most vital pressure on Israel.
“We strongly condemn Israel’s latest raid on Masjid Al-Aqsa. We believe that these attacks during the holy month of Ramadan justify once again the definition of Israel as a terrorist entity. We salute and declare our full support and sympathy to our brothers and sisters the murabiteen in al-Aqsa.”
“We call upon the conscience of the free world not to condone the barbaric act of Israel by turning a blind eye to this event. We call upon all governments especially the Government of Malaysia to issue a firm stand on the Apartheid regime of Israel and to demand them to retreat from the Mosque and Jerusalem immediately.”
“We urge Muslim countries that have concluded the so-called peace accord and normalized with Israel must immediately sever the relationship. All peace-loving nations must take steps to isolate Israel especially in the economic sphere. We also call upon all governments especially the Government of Malaysia to provide input to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) which the United Nations General Assembly has mandated to render advisory opinions on the legal consequences arising from the policies and practices of Israel in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (oPt) namely the crime of apartheid and a crime against humanity perpetrated by the Zionist regime of Israel.”
