Hamas Movement’s delegation to Cairo headed by the head of the Movement’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya met with Abbas Kamel the head of the Egyptian General Intelligence on Thursday.
The delegation included Hamas deputy chief Saleh al-Arouri Hamas chief abroad Khaled Mishaal head of Hamas Arab and Islamic Relations Office Khalil al-Hayya and Hamas politburo member Rawhi Mushtaha.
The meeting dealt with the latest developments concerning the Palestinian cause including the dangerous measures taken by Israel in Occupied Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the growing settler terrorism against the Palestinian people in addition to the Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip.
For their part the Egyptian officials affirmed their continued support to the Palestinian people in restoring their unity and obtaining their legitimate rights.
Since the start of the year 43 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and settlers including 9 children and an elderly woman.
