Sheikh Kamal al-Khatib head of the Freedoms Committee in 1948 occupied Palestine has stressed the importance of the intensive Palestinian presence at the Aqsa Mosque to protect it against desecration and Judaization by Jewish settlers.
In press remarks on Monday Sheikh Khatib said that the Aqsa Mosque would never be a Jewish temple as long as the Palestinian people exist on their own land.
Sheikh Khatib warned that difficult days await the Palestinian people and the Muslim nation because of the fascist schemes that are adopted by the new Israeli government.
He said that the recent desecration of the Aqsa Mosque by far-right security minister Itamar Ben Gvir was a flagrant provocation against the Palestinian people and the Muslim nation.
He stressed the Palestinian people would spare no effort to protect the Aqsa Mosque against Israeli attempts to turn it into a temple.
