Member of Hamas’s political bureau Mousa Abu Marzouq has said that his Movement has different regional and international political relations and was able to achieve a number of breakthroughs in some of these relations.
In an interview conducted with him by the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) Abu Marzouk said that Hamas seeks to serve its national cause through its various political relations.
The Hamas official stressed that his Movement rejects any relationship that affects its national and religious constants the independence of its decision or its relations with other parties.
“We reject any prior conditions from any party regarding our relationship with it … such as when the United States stipulated that Hamas should give up resistance and hand over its weapons” he said.
He also revealed that there were declared and concealed contacts with a number of European countries but he pointed out that these countries put restrictions on their communications with Hamas especially after they added it to their terrorism blacklist.
