MP Ahmed Atoun has stressed that the death of the Palestinian prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid warns of extreme danger posed on the sick Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli prisons.
In a press statement on Tuesday MP Atoun said that the Israeli prisons have become graveyards for Palestinian prisoners noting that around 233 Palestinian prisoners passed away in the Israeli jails 70 of whom suffered from the Israeli policy of medical neglect.
MP Atoun mourned the death of prisoner Abu Hamid and expressed his deep condolences to the martyr’s family calling on the Palestinian leaders to work towards releasing all Palestinian prisoners.
For his part member of Hamas’s political bureau Zahir Jabarin said that Israel will pay heavy price for its new crime against Abu Hamid affirming that the Israeli crimes committed against the Palestinian prisoners will not go unpunished.
