The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire on Wednesday morning at swaths of agricultural land in the east of Khan Yunis south of the besieged Gaza Strip.
According to local sources Israeli soldiers at military posts behind the border fence fired machine guns at swaths of cultivated land in the east of al-Fakhari town in Khan Yunis which prevented Gazan farmers from entering the area to work their lands.
No one was reportedly hurt in the shooting attack.
The border areas of Gaza are repeatedly exposed to Israeli military incursions and gunfire attacks. Such violations cause considerable damage to crops and prevent farmers from working their lands.
Under an inhumane siege the Israeli army keeps attacking — sometimes injuring or killing — farmers and fishermen almost on a daily basis with no regard for any mediated ceasefire deal in Gaza or even the international law.
