Scores of Palestinian citizens suffered breathing problems on Thursday during a raid by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) north of the West Bank city of Nablus.
“IOF soldiers stormed the town of Sebastia northwest of Nablus to facilitate a Jewish settlers’ raid into the archaeological site of the town” the mayor of Sebastia Mohamed Azem told WAFA news agency.
He added that 200 Jewish settlers protected by the IOF stormed the archaeological site after the Israeli soldiers blocked the site and prevented Palestinian citizens from reaching it.
In a related development a Palestinian young man was injured in the foot by the live bullets of Israeli soldiers who were stationed in a military watchtower at the entrance of Beit Ummar town north of the West Bank city of al-Khalil a local source reported.
Moreover the IOF detained three Palestinian students after interrogating them for a suspected stone-throwing incident at their school in the southern area of al-Khalil.
Furthermore Israeli soldiers fired tear gas bombs at Palestinian citizens in Zababdeh and Jalqamous towns near the West Bank city of Jenin which triggered clashes according to local sources.
In another development two Palestinian children were arrested by Israeli police in Bab al-Amoud area while another Palestinian young man was arrested after the Israeli police attacked him in the neighborhood of Bab Hitta in the Old City of Jerusalem.
