The Qatar Red Crescent Society launched on Saturday a fundraising campaign to support the Palestinian citizens who were affected by the last Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.
The campaign aims to collect 10 million Qatari riyals (($2.74 million) to fund projects for the benefit of about 58000 citizens in Gaza.
“The tragedy of the Gaza Strip persists as a result of repeated wars and the blockade that has been ongoing for 15 years; moreover Gaza was recently exposed to renewed aggression that have caused more pain to our Palestinian brothers and sisters in Gaza” Ali al-Hammadi secretary-general of the Qatar Red Crescent stated on Sunday.
Hammadi explained that his society’s humanitarian intervention plan includes the execution of a wide range of life-saving projects in the fields of health aid and rehabilitation services water supply infrastructure rehabilitation of damaged homes and financial assistance.
Last Thursday Qatar Charity also launched an urgent relief campaign to help the affected families in Gaza and provide them with vital needs and health services.
