The Hamas Movement has applauded the confrontations that took place at dawn Sunday in Nablus City describing them as a “reflection of the Palestinian people’s valor and their ability to retain the flame of their growing revolution and struggle against the Israeli occupation.”
In a statement on Sunday Hamas spokesman Abdul-Latif al-Qanu paid tribute to the young resistance fighters who courageously rose up and confronted the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Nablus City.
“Such ongoing confrontations prove that our people’s revolution will not stop unless the occupation ends and that Nablus Jenin and all the West Bank cities will remain unbreakable and will continue their resistance until they foil the occupation’s goals and sweep it away from every inch of our land” spokesman Qanu added.
Two Palestinian resistance fighters were killed and at least 19 other citizens were injured during armed clashes at dawn Sunday with the IOF in Nablus City.
The Red Crescent said that two young men identified as Abdul-Rahman Soboh and Mohamed al-Azizi were shot dead during four hours of fierce armed clashes with the IOF in the Old City of Nablus.
