The Israeli occupation authority’s (IOA) military court issued an administrative detention order against the Palestinian prisoner Ahmad Azzam for six months.
Prisoner Azzam has been held in the al-Maskobiyya detention center for 37 days before the administrative detention order was issued against him.
Ex-prisoner Azzam was arrested on the 29th of April 2022 after Israeli occupation forces stormed his home in Yasuf village east of the West Bank city of Salfit.
According to his wife Bayan Khattab arresting Azzam has deprived him from celebrating the expected delivery of his first baby. She added that Azzam’s graduation was supposed to take place more than six years ago but his repeated arrests had delayed the long-awaited graduation.
31-year-old Azzam who spent about seven years in Israeli jails was released and re-arrested more than once.
His wife had been held in Maskobiyya for 20 days during his previous arrest. In addition his brother Nour has been held in the Palestinian Authority prisons for the 130th day in a row.
