The Palestinian prisoner Khalil Awawdeh may face a “sudden health setback” that would lead to his death at any moment Palestinian rights sources warned on Thursday.
The Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority warned that Awawdeh is in real danger as he suffers from deficiency of water in the body.
It said “We warn of a sudden health setback that may lead to his death or signs of nerve damage or damage to any vital organ such as the heart liver kidneys and lungs.”
Last Tuesday Awawdeh who is on his 92nd day of hunger strike in protest at his administrative detention was taken to the Ramla prison infirmary although the Israeli supreme court had ordered his immediate transfer to a hospital due to his critical health condition.
Awawdeh suffers from persistent headache joint pains emaciation extreme fatigue irregular heartbeats and breathing and frequent vomiting of blood.
