Tens of thousands perform Eid prayers at Aqsa Mosque

Over 200000 Muslim worshipers observed the Eid-ul-Fitr prayer and khutba (sermon) at the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Monday morning.

Following the Eid prayer thousands of young people rallied in the Mosque’s courtyards and chanted slogans for the Palestinian resistance Gaza Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque.

Amid an atmosphere of joy and celebration a group of citizens embarked on distributing sweets and cookies in the Mosque’s courtyards and others were seen handing children some toys.

Outside the Mosque the Old City streets and roads have been teeming since the morning with Palestinian citizens who flocked to the holy city to celebrate the occasion.

Earlier at dawn several buses carrying Palestinians from 1948 occupied Palestine arrived in the holy city to perform the Eid prayer and participate in the celebrations at the Aqsa Mosque.

Tens of thousands of Muslim worshipers on Thursday morning observed the Eid-ul-Fitr prayer and khutba (sermon) at the Aqsa Mosque and then rallied in its courtyards in support of the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip.

According to the Islamic Awqaf Administration over 100000 worshipers performed the Eid prayer at the Mosque.

Palestinian citizens of all ages started flocking to the Mosque in the early morning hours to perform the Fajr and Eid prayers.

Following the Fajr and Eid prayers thousands of young people rallied in the Mosque’s courtyards and chanted slogans for the Palestinian resistance Gaza Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque.

During his khutba the Aqsa preacher asked the Palestinian worshipers to celebrate the Eid occasion and raise the Palestinian flag everywhere.

The preacher criticized the Arab League for its weak position over Jerusalem events and attacked the last Arab normalization deals with the Israeli occupation affirming that the Palestinian people would not condone any deal targeting the Aqsa Mosque.

Tens of thousands of Muslims mostly Palestinians performed Eid al-Adha prayers Tuesday at Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque amid a heavy Israeli security presence in and around Jerusalem’s Old City.

Muslims around the world on Tuesday marked the first day of the four-day Eid al-Adha holiday during which animals are generally sacrificed the meat from which is distributed to the poor.

Hundreds of worshipers performed Eid prayers at the main entrances to the Old City after they were banned from the Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli police.

In a sermon delivered before Eid al-Adha prayers the imam reiterated Palestinians’ determination to defend the al-Aqsa Mosque in the face of the Israeli occupation’s efforts to Judaize it.

Scores of Muslim worshipers observed Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at the Aqsa Mosque amid several Israeli restrictions and measures that prevented many Palestinian citizens from entering Occupied Jerusalem and the Islamic holy site.

In addition to a few elderlies from the West Bank tens of thousands of Palestinian worshipers flocked to the holy site from Jerusalem and its suburbs as well as from towns and cities in the 1948 occupied lands.

Many Jerusalemite citizens also performed al-Eid prayers on the streets of the Old City after they were banned by the Israeli police from entering the Mosque

Following the prayers al-Aqsa preacher delivered al-Eid Khutba (sermon) and talked among other things about Israeli measures at the Aqsa Mosque the blockade on Gaza the values of cooperation and tolerance and some Eid traditions.
