Israeli police re-arrested Shady Al-Shurafa 45 right after releasing him from Ramon desert prison on Tuesday.
Israeli intelligence agents led Al-Shurafa to the investigation center in Al-Maskoubiya west of Occupied Jerusalem.
“Israeli police snatched him re-arrested him and forcibly deprived us of hugging him” Al-Shurafa’s weeping mother said.
Al-Shurafa from the Wadi Al-Joz neighborhood in Occupied Jerusalem spent 20 years in Israeli prisons after he was arrested on 6/4/2002.
Israeli authorities chased Al-Shurafa for a year before finally capturing him and sentencing him to 20-year imprisonment.
Al-Shurafa participated in the Palestinian prisoners’ “battles of empty stomachs” more than once and was held in different Israeli prisons.
Al-Shurafa suffered from medical negligence in Israeli jails and received no appropriate treatment for his eyes.
Last year Al-Shurafa gained his Master’s degree in regional studies with a very good GPA from Al-Quds University.
